Municipalities in Västerbotten ranked high in national ranking

Several municipalities in Västerbotten was ranked high in a new national ranking. Robertsfors and Malå ended up on second and seventh place in the category ”Best municipalities for families.”
In the category ”Best municipality for families” category, the following factors were measured: - How many families can afford to buy houses. -Number of divorcees in relation to population. -Fathers’ part of parental leave. – Staff density in preschool. - Child poverty index. – Income differences between men and women.
Further, Umeå was ranked in eighth place for ”Best municipality for young people”. The newspaper, Fokus that made the survey also notes the following: ”the small municipality Storuman in the inland of Västerbotten climbed 157 positions from last year, thanks to among other things, cheap houses, high number of staff in preschool and small income differences between men and women”.
