Logistic hub in Storuman opened

Almost two years ago, the construction of the new transport terminal in Storuman started. Now it is opened.
The Transshipment Center is supposed to help Storuman become the logistics hub in the interior of northern Sweden. The cost of the initiative has been 55 million SEK and was financed by Storuman Municipality, Region Västerbotten, EU and local businesses. The financiers all agree that the terminal helps in creating a bright future for the region, the railroad will play an increasing role in future transportation systems. ”Collaboration and extensive logistics is critical to both forest industry and other industries, said PO Wedin, President of Sveaskog.
