Results from drilling in Vindelgransele confirm high gold grades
augusti 9th, 2012
The results from new drilling in Vindelgransele outside of Lycksele, North Sweden confirms that the region is extremely interesting from gold point of view.
Drillings in Fäbodliden C has showed zones with high gold grades (best hits 20.6 g / t over 3.95 meters and 32 g / t over 0.90 meters). The bores in Fäbodliden A and B also confirmed gold mineralization over a larger field. These results helps to achive the aim to prove Vindelgransele as a future mining area. Botnia Exploration will therefore continue to focus on limiting the mineralization in the area with the intention to introduce an ore reserve calculation for the area.
”To now look back, after 5 years since Botnia Exploration was founded , it’s almost unreal to report the above results with such high gold grades from Vindelgransele. Since exploration in the area has been performed by many stakeholders like SGU, SGAB, Boliden and Lundin by NAN it is stimulating that Botnia succeeded in tying up old findings with this year’s drillings.
In the current situation Fäboliden C is extremely exciting with a well defined gold bearing vein with a wide range and a still unknown depth. Average concentrations of gold is very high, even by international standards, and gives us great hope of the area. We look forward with interest to the additional drilling planned for late fall / winter when the availability increased. We aim to put Vindelgransele on the map as a future mining area that is growing stronger and stronger, ”said Bengt Ljung, CEO Botnia Exploration Holding LtD.
