Västerbotten on top in new government agency report

Every year Tillväxtanalys (Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis) provides a report of Sweden’s foreign companies ownership, broken down by province as well. The new report (2014) shows that Västerbotten has increased most in foreign owned business among all regions in Sweden. Between 2012-2013 Västerbotten had 25 more foreign owned workplaces compared to the year before (+5,1%), and foreign owned companies employed 780 more people (+8,4%).
Uppsala and Värmland also showed good figures. Uppsala employed 358 more people (+2,6%) and there were five new workplaces (+0,1%). With 724 new employment in foreign companies Värmland made an increase with +4,8%, but they decreased with 12 workplaces (-1,8%). You can read the full report here.
