Nordmaling

The Municipality of Nordmaling – a centre between the cities
In between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik lies Nordmaling, a municipality that combines a strong sense of community and great commitment. Nordmaling has a population with great drive and a long tradition of heavy industry with actors such as sawmills and paper mills. In 2009, the municipality initiated major ventures on entrepreneurship and commercial development and welcomes new business establishments. In Nordmaling, many ocean and river-front plots are for sale, and there are many opportunities to further develop both leisure interests and various kinds of tourism. The Botnia Line railway offers Nordmaling excellent transportation possibilities both northwards and southwards.
